Mr Ee Kow Keang
Ee Kow Keang is the Managing Consultant of SBF Training & Consultancy Sdn Bhd and a Principal Consultant of SBF Training & Consultancy (International) Pte Ltd and SBF Entrepreneurship Development Centre Pte Ltd. Before assuming his present positions, Ee had worked for three large Malaysian banks.
During his 25 years in banking, Ee has been a Branch Manager, Regional Manager, Head of Methods & Systems Department, Head of Operations / Branch Supervision Department and Head / Vice President of Training & Development. Ee’s expertise in training and consulting is, thus, backed by his wide knowledge and practical experience in banking and finance.
Ee is a very experienced and much sought-after course leader. He has conducted many courses and workshops on banking and finance, marketing and business development and managerial entrepreneurship for banks and other financial institutions in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China, Vietnam, Brunei, Myanmar, West Africa and the Middle East. He is a Principal Facilitator for the ATP (Analysts Training Program) and Credit Guarantee Corporation’s ACE (Advanced Credit Enhancer) Program, an internal certification training program for the organization’s credit personnel that he led in designing and developing.
For many years, Ee was also a part-time lecturer for two prestigious executive MBA programs in Malaysia. Among the subjects he has taught are Strategic Management / Business Policy, Human Resource Management / Organizational Development and International Trade. He has contributed many articles to the Banker’s Journal Malaysia and other publications and was a columnist for the STAR newspaper writing the very popular columns “Your Friendly Banker” and “Managing People”. He also wrote for the Personal Business column of Personal Money, a monthly magazine published by The Edge Communications Sdn Bhd.
Besides banking and training, Ee also has wide business counseling experience. He has advised and assisted many businessmen in matters such as identifying and structuring their banking needs, evaluation of business potential and viability, organizational restructuring and business start-ups.
Ee was a member of a team of consultants that conducted an extensive consignment study on Infrastructure Project Financing In Malaysia for JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) on behalf of Bank Pembangunan & Infrastruktur Malaysia Berhad.
For many years now, Ee has also been very actively involved in assisting employees affected by job separation exercises manage the very challenging situations they are in. He has developed and conducted many courses for job-leavers and aspirant entrepreneurs both in Malaysia and Singapore, and is the author of “It’s Time … To Be Your Own Boss” published by the Malaysian Institute of Management.
Ee is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London and a Senior Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Malaysia. In addition, he holds a MBA degree from Cranfield University (Cranfield Institute of Technology), England. He is also a MIM-Certified Professional Trainer.

Miss Goh Ai Yat
Ai Yat is the Managing Consultant of SBF Entrepreneurship Development Centre Pte Ltd and a Principal Consultant of SBF Training & Consultancy (International) Pte Ltd and SBF Training & Consultancy Sdn Bhd.
Prior to taking up her present positions, Ai Yat was the Deputy General Manager of Sogelease (an associate of SOCIETE GENERALE, a leading French bank) based in Malaysia. She had also held various management positions with several local and foreign financial institutions actively involved in providing asset financing facilities and consumer lending. During her 15 years with them, Ai Yat has been a Branch Manager, Head of Branches Operations and Head of Marketing and Credit. Ai Yat’s expertise in training and consulting is, thus, backed by her wide knowledge and practical experience in banking and finance.
Ai Yat is a much sought-after course facilitator, in particular for courses on credit management, marketing and business development and selling of financial services. Mr Pun Kai Loon
Pun Kai Loon is a Principal Consultant of SBF Training & Consultancy Sdn Bhd. He is also a Director of PE Research Sdn Bhd, a planning and economics research consultancy firm.
Kai Loon was formerly attached to Citibank as a Vice President. His responsibility portfolio included evaluation of venture capital and equity investments, credit analysis and risk rating. He had also worked as the Fund Manager of a major Malaysian bank and a public-listed company and headed the equity investment research unit of a local stock-broking house.
Kai Loon had worked on the Industrial Master Plan and Technology Action Plan for the Malaysian Government and consulted for multilateral agencies (such as the United Nations Development Programme, United Nations ESCAP and Japan International Cooperation Agency) as well as private organizations. He recently completed a consultancy project – “Project Formulation Study On Strengthening Management And Appraising Capacity Of Financial Institutions In Malaysia” – and led a team of consultants for a consignment study – “Consignment Study Of Infrastructure Project Financing In Malaysia” – for JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). Kai Loon also wrote for a local Chinese business magazine covering contemporary economic and industry issues.
In training, Kai Loon has conducted many courses and given talks on banking and finance and business economics in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. He is also the Lead Facilitator for the ATP (Analysts Training Program) and a Principal Facilitator for Credit Guarantee Corporation’s ACE (Advance Credit Enhancer) Programme, an internal certification training programme for the organization’s credit personnel that he assisted in designing and developing.
In the academic field, Kai Loon has taught economics and corporate finance for the degree programmes of the University of London and University of Southern Queensland. He graduated from three British universities – with a BA (Hons) from University of Sheffield, an MSc from London School of Economics and an MBA (Finance) with distinction from University of Hull.
